How it works
Step 1
1. Build the roster once
Type or paste your class list with one name per line, using the names students actually answer to. Twelve to thirty names works well; do not add row numbers or extra commas.

FAQ
How do I stop students from getting the same partner twice in a row?
Each shuffle is independent, so repeats are possible but uncommon with a class of twenty or more. To rule them out completely, keep last round's pairs next to this round's results and reroll or swap any duplicate before you announce it. Teachers who rotate every week usually spot zero or one repeat per round.
What happens when my class has an odd number of students?
One student is left over after pairing. The printed list places that student with the final pair as a group of three, which keeps everyone in an activity instead of leaving someone to work alone.
Can I keep two specific students apart?
There is no exclusion setting, so check the generated pairs before publishing them. If a pair is a problem, click generate again for a new shuffle, or swap one name with another pair — a single manual swap usually fixes it without a full reroll.
Can I rotate groups of three or four instead of pairs?
Yes, but use the group generator on this site rather than the pair generator. Pairs are fixed at two students; the group generator lets you set the group size and will place leftovers into balanced groups of three or four.
Does the tool remember my class list between visits?
