Methodology
How the turn order is drawn
Names are normalized, de-duplicated, and shuffled with a Fisher–Yates pass driven by your browser's random number generator. Every one of the n! orderings is equally likely, so no seat, spelling, or paste order affects the draw.
The generator deliberately does not know your steal rules: the order is neutral, and your house rules stay in charge of the game itself.

Limitations

Most groups allow each gift to be stolen 2–3 times total, or one steal per player per turn. One-steal games move fastest with big crowds; unlimited steals are funniest with 6–10 close friends.
What happens when a gift is stolen?
The player who stole it keeps it, and the player it was stolen from immediately picks an unopened gift or steals a different one. If that loops, apply your steal limit and continue.
Does the first player have an advantage?
The first picker usually ends up with the final swap, while later players see more opened gifts. Because the order is random, nobody can claim the draw favored anyone.
